Brief Bio

Professor Xue Peng received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tianjin University, and his PhD degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on spectral-information-centered built luminous-thermal environment creation and low-carbon energy-saving technologies. He serves as the Chair of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) Technical Committee TC3-59, and an editorial board member of the SCI journal *Energy and Buildings*. He has presided over 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and 6 key technical research projects for major engineering construction. He has published more than 90 SCI-indexed papers in journals including *Advanced Functional Materials*, *Nano Energy*, *Applied Energy* and *Building and Environment*. He is the chief editor of one national standard and one textbook. He was awarded the Special Prize of the Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Renewable Energy Society.
